Citrix receiver raspberry pi
Take what I advise as advice not the utopian holy grail, and it is gratis!! Working in the Applications Team. Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Wed Jul 31, pm I am not sure you got an answer to your question in the end. I have been using the raspberry pi as a thin client with Citrix since pi 2 and it works pretty good.
Saved my company a lot of money instead of buying expensive terminals from HP. I am a novice so please don’t expect me to know a lot but I do like mucking around with this. I have it working with 2 screens for citrix and its nice and fast. Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Mon Aug 05, pm Hi all My company uses Citrix for remote access and it would be brilliant if I could rely on my RP4 as a thin client for occasional backup use.
Installing Citrix Workspace was not easy, but I got there in the end various dependency issues which I had to follow online instructions to get through. Unfortunately, Citrix does not seem to be working well at all for me, despite reports that the RP4 should be more than capable. The issue is quite specific: the session only seems to refresh when I click my mouse. If I do nothing, nothing happens. Each time I click the mouse, it moves the session forward to where I would expect it to be.
If I click the mouse repeatedly and quickly, it starts to resemble a normal Citrix session, but clearly this is not a sustainable solution! If any has any thoughts as to what the issue might be, I’d love to solve it. Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Mon Aug 05, pm We have 2x pi 4 that we have been working on and testing and they seem to work fine. Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Mon Aug 05, pm Are you seriously suggesting that Hingus downloads an unsigned OS version that can’t be checked as genuine from some random poster on an Internet forum.
If someone did that on a network I own they’d be clearing their desk and getting a P45 in a brown envelope for gross misconduct. Fake doctors – are all on my foes list.
The use of crystal balls and mind reading is prohibited. Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Tue Aug 06, am Very true with security. How do you go about signing an image? I am still new to working on Linux and I have managed to get this working after a few days with instructions I posted earlier. Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Thu Aug 08, pm I can confirm that a Raspbian Buster install with Citrix Receiver does work. However, I have only done this on a single Pi 4 at this time, in a testing environment.
I used a full Raspbian Buster install with desktop in this case. My company is very excited about the cheaper option that works just as well as an HP terminal that we have been using. Why arm64 and not armhf? Well there are some synthetic benchmarks in the net that show a performance benefit. So I did a re-install with the Raspberry Pi arm64 image Raspberry Pi OS bit and also followed the steps to install the chromium armhf version to have support for streaming media that requires content protection.
The Mutter window manager provides the right hints to the Citrix workspace app. Since version Dec 12, the package can be directly installed via gdebi package manager.
All required packages will automatically be downloaded.

Its been fun working on this project and I expect that with the raspberry pi 4 they will fully update the depositories in the near future. Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Mon Aug 19, pm Hi clareandlloyd, I just also tried to get Citrix Workspace app running and it is complaining about libxerces missing.
Where did you get a matching version that you can install on Buster? In your steps below you unfortunately do not explain where you got the packages for the dependencies from? Did you use them from the old Stretch image? Br Joerg. Funny enough I went back and downloaded all of them again to start from scratch but could not find the libwebpdemux again.
I have copies of these but from the comment from another forum person its not good to share just in case of viruses and such. I agree but do like to help and that is why I tried to share at the beginning. Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Tue Aug 20, pm One other point. I installed Citrix receiver client Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Mon Oct 14, am Personal messages are not supported on this forum, so you must supply an e-mail address, if you want to risk running this random OS image.
Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Thu Oct 24, pm Hi, could you please send me this link, i would like to try this image. Dual screen monitors from the Pi 4 – worth every penny using RDP. Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Sun Nov 03, pm Could I possibly get the link to this image. Sounds like it’s exactly what I’m after norton. Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Tue Nov 05, am Nomachine also has extensive support for the Pi, and you don’t need to download questionable custom images.
Re: pi4 as a thin client citrix receiver Thu Apr 16, pm Hello, just in case someone is interested to use a PI for home office I made a HowTo. As I need to join online meetings and to make audio calls via Skype4Business installed on the corporate desktop, there is a section for setting up local audio echo cancellation via Pulseaudio module-echo-cancel.
Should you need VPN, then it is probably easier to use a full-featured desktop environment like the Mate desktop. Jump to. Board index All times are UTC. Since version Dec 12, the package can be directly installed via gdebi package manager. All required packages will automatically be downloaded. After the install several libraries are missing to get audio and video working.
